MEET OUR PRESIDENT AND FOUNDER
Vedang Kothari, MEM
As an intern at Lumitex, Vedang was tasked with brainstorming additional applications for Lumitex’s phototherapy technology. During this process, he found a way to use phototherapy to treat oral mucositis, a common side effect of cancer treatment in which the patient develops painful or debilitating ulcers in the soft tissues within the oral cavity. A native of San Jose, Calif., Vedang first came to Northeast Ohio to study at Case Western Reserve University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering and a Master of Science in engineering and management.
